Liam Salter

CEO

Liam is Founder and CEO at RESET Carbon Ltd since 2009. RESET offers solutions to companies seeking to measure and reduce their carbon footprint with a focus on Asian markets.

Previously Liam was the Director of WWF’s International’s Asia-Pacific Climate Programme, where he built and managed a ten-country team. At WWF Liam also co-led the design and set-up of the Gold Standard, which is now a leading certification system for project level carbon offsets and other environmental and social attributes.

Liam holds a Masters of Science in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London.

  • Our Carbon Leadership Programme is one of the most innovative decarbonisation programs on the market. We want to accelerate its reach and scale up to deliver it across 250 sites by the end of 2023.

Margaret Ho

Senior Manager, Industry Development

Margaret is an ESG and sustainability specialist dedicated to driving the construction industry’s progress towards a net-zero future. With a wealth of experience developing ESG strategies and plans for construction companies, and a strong academic background in environmental management, Margaret currently spearheads numerous sustainability initiatives at the Construction Industry Council. Her mission encompasses culture shaping, standardisation, and tools development and adoption such as the CIC Carbon Assessment Tool (CAT), CIC Sustainable Finance Certification Scheme (SFCS), CIC Green Product Certification (GPC).

Having previously excelled as a corporate communications professional for over a decade, Margaret’s true passion lies in translating sustainable development principles and goals into tangible actions and values.

My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

In 2023-24, my sustainability goal is to establish a platform that raises awareness about sectoral sustainability and empowers the construction industry to take tangible actions towards a greener future.

Mark Lam

Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Sustainability

Mark Lam is the Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Sustainability. He is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with stakeholders across the investment community, as well as the development and implementation of the Group’s sustainability strategy.

Prior to his current role, Mr Lam served as a Senior Corporate Finance Manager, where he supported the development of Group-wide strategies, including investment evaluations and board reporting. Before joining Hongkong Land, he was a Director at KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice, advising investors on cross-border transactions across the region.

Mr Lam is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of British Columbia.

Samanta Pong

Executive Director

Samanta has been with Shiu Wing for 20 years. Shiu Wing is the leading steel manufacturer and rebar trading company in Hong Kong. The steel industry is highly carbon-intensive and Shiu Wing aims to reduce the upfront carbon of its products through responsible procurement and offering offsite prefabrication processing to its customers. In addition, Shiu Wing commissioned the largest solar energy generation system in Hong Kong in 2022 on the rooftop of its mill in Tuen Mun.

Samanta holds a Master of Engineering degree from University of Oxford. She is currently a member of the Industry Standards and Practices Committee at the Hong Kong Green Building Council, and a member of the Steering Committee of the Circular Economy Advisory Group at the Business Environment Council. In addition, she was a member of the Council of Sustainable Development under the Environment Bureau from 2017 to 2023.

Susan Siu

Head of Procurement

Susan Siu is the Head of Procurement of Gammon Construction Limited. She is responsible for managing the Company’s procurement on materials and services for its construction projects, including the formulation of procurement strategy and policy, strategic and sustainable procurement, supply chain development and supply risk management. Susan spearheaded various sustainable procurement initiatives such as FSC timber, plastic recycling, biofuel, and circularity in Gammon.

Susan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply of UK and the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Hong Kong Branch. She holds a Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Liverpool, UK.
